deverellsmith are recruiting on behalf of our client, forward thinking, growing mixed-used developer, for a MEP Site Manager to join them, on an ongoing freelance contract with the possibility to extend to 2 years. This will be paid through CIS.
Responsible for overseeing the coordination of outstanding defects with existing MEP systems within the development. This person must have a trade background - ideally and plumber or electrician.
Working closely with project teams and subcontractors you will ensure the successful delivery of MEP components, on time and in budget. There will be an element of customer interaction, so you must be customer facing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting into a MEP Project Lead
- Attendance of meetings on-site and in the office
- Oversee MEP trades
- Manage and oversee current M&E defects, ensuring the work is completed on time. The contract may extend and you will have the opportunity to move to a brand new project
- Dealing with sub - contractors
- Reporting into clients, keeping the client up to date with progress reports
- Demonstrate experience in design review and working with the site team to clarify any queries prior to installation
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a MEP Package manager in residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
