Temporary Document Controller (8-Week Contract)

Location: City of London
Contract Duration: 8 Weeks (could extend for the right person)
Client: Tier 2 Contractor (Renowned for High-Quality Project Delivery)

About the Client:
We are working with a highly respected Tier 2 contractor, known for delivering large-scale construction projects on time and to the highest standards. With an exceptional reputation in the industry, this client has a track record of successful project completions, often involving multi-million-pound projects that meet rigorous quality and compliance standards.

Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join their team on an 8-week temporary contract (could extend for the right person). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project documentation, ensuring all records are accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with project and company standards. This role requires immediate availability and experience in handling large-scale construction projects, particularly those valued above £100 mill.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain project documentation in an organised and efficient manner.
  • Ensure documents are uploaded, reviewed, and distributed through Aconex.
  • Support the project team with the submission and tracking of documents.
  • Coordinate the processing of Gateway 2 submissions.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth document flow.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices for document control.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrable experience working on projects valued above £100 mill
  • Experience with Gateway 2 submissions.
  • Proficiency with Aconex document management system.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to start immediately and commit to an 8-week temporary role.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
