Job Title: Group Client Bank Accounts Manager
Salary: Up to £60k + Bonus
Location: Central London, Hybrid + Occasional travel to sites.

This is a newly created role of Group Client Bank Accounts Manager sitting within the Finance Team at their Head Office in Central London. The role will be on a hybrid basis, with occasional travel to their regional sites to train, develop and manage the Client Accountants in the regional offices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring our regions and wider group remain compliant with existing client account internal policies and external requirements such as client money protection, PCI compliance, record keeping, etc.
  • Conducting acquisitions due diligence on lettings client accounts, pre and post completion integration planning, and following due process for merging/closing client accounts.
  • Working with the Head of Governance/CFO on delivering and maintaining a reduced number of client accounts with appropriate controls, processes and oversight with particular focus on cost tracking, anti-fraud controls, and debt recovery.
  • Working alongside the regional client account managers to maintain accurate records, improve KPI reporting and taking ownership of the day-to-day relationships with key third parties.

Candidate Qualities:

  • Significant experience of handling client money within the UK residential property lettings sector. Specifically, in depth knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase ledgers, cashiering, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, client funds management, client money protection and statutory requirements.
  • Ability to advise the Finance, Governance and Operations teams on client accounting matters that could impact the business.
  • Demonstrable attention to detail with a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders will be essential.
  • Experience in conducting audits and of mergers & acquisitions.
