What was the situation?
Natalie’s client who manages super prime properties, were experiencing a large amount of growth within their business and were looking for a Senior Property Manager to join their team.
Because the role was so specific to the client’s needs, and they to hire someone in a short time span, they came to deverellsmith for help.
Were there any challenges?
As the role had very specific requirements and was different to a standard property management role, it was hard for Natalie to find a candidate in the market that had the full package of skills that were required.
What was the methodology?
Natalie had a face-to-face meeting with the clients at their offices in person to ensure she could drill down the client’s needs and culture of the business.
From this initial meeting, they decided that a retained search approach would be beneficial die to the specific skill set in the time frame required of the client.
Firstly, Natalie created a LinkedIn project with the skills required from the candidate and approached over 30 people from this.
A job ad was also posted everywhere including a featured job posting on deverellsmith’s LinkedIn page and all the job boards.
A short list was then gathered within 48 hours of initial interest and presented to the client to confirm that Natalie was hitting the requirements of her clients needed.
What were the results?
Natalie sent over a strong candidate that went through a first stage virtual interview and got offered the job immediately without the need for a second stage or face to face.
