Alex Notay, Chair of the Radix Big Tent Housing Commission
Our newest addition to the panel, Alex Notay, is an expert on housing, placemaking, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) with over 20 years of strategic advisory and investment experience spanning four continents. She has also authorised an impressive 30+ real estate publications.
Alex chairs the British Property Federation’s residential ESG group and co-chairs the Creative Land Trust. Additionally, she serves as a commissioner on the UK’s Geospatial Commission and is a trustee at St Mary Redcliffe.
Furthermore, at the 2019 BISNOW Women Leaders event, Alex was recognised as one of the 48 women who helped shape the UK real estate. She was also awarded ‘Residential Leader of the Year’ at the 2023 Property Week.
Robert Elder, Senior Economist at The Bank of England
Familiar face Robert Elder returns for yet another Banking on the Future event as one of our panel speakers.
Having joined The Bank of England in 1998, Robert spent 12 years supporting the Monetary Policy Committee as an economist and later as a senior manager.
Between 2010 and 2012, he represented the UK on the board of the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC.
Robert has recently contributed to the Bank’s Press Office and its Financial Policy Committee.
Moreover, as an expert economist, he adeptly communicates the Bank’s perspective on the current economic landscape and provides informed predictions about future trends.
Andrew Saunderson, Head of UK Residential Capital Markets at CBRE
Andrew Saunderson, now Head of UK Residential Capital Markets at CBRE since 2022, previously worked at Grainger as the Investment Director of Transactions and Special Projects for an impressive 20 years.
He played a crucial role in shaping the company’s investment strategy and his leadership was instrumental in guiding Grainger’s Investment team to invest over £850 million into the Build-to-Rent sector by 2020.
Additionally, Andrew’s expertise in facilitating significant acquisitions of both assets and corporate entities was a key factor in the company's growth.
Andrew having also qualified as a Chartered Surveyor at Allson LLP, is well-versed in utilising data-driven insights to enhance the understanding of market trends, investment opportunities, and associated risks.
Penny Cameron, Head of Development at URW
Since March 2023, Penny Cameron has served as the Head of Development at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW).
Penny is a Chartered Surveyor with over 25 years of experience in the development sector, from which she has a rich history of leading significant mixed-use projects.
Her previous roles include serving as Development Director at Stanhope for ten years, working at Hammerson for five years, and contributing to Taylor Woodrow Capital Developments for seven years, where she was instrumental in creating and selling apartments across Central London and the rest of the UK.
Penny is responsible for all development across the Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield portfolio - from master planning major mix use regeneration to delivering densification and asset repurposing across the UK portfolio.
