Position Title: Commercial Director - Agency Sales
Location: Colchester, Essex (Hybrid/Remote options available)
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £50-60,000 (Basic salary), with a £70,000 p.a (OTE)

Overview:
We are looking for a results-driven Commercial Director to lead our agency sales division based in Colchester, Essex. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agency sales within the commercial space, with a proven ability to drive revenue growth, build strategic partnerships, and expand market presence. You will play a key role in shaping our commercial strategy, managing top-tier client relationships, and overseeing the agency sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Growth: Develop and implement a commercial strategy to grow our agency sales portfolio in Colchester and surrounding areas, identifying new business opportunities and revenue streams.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key agency clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. Lead negotiations and manage large accounts.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the agency sales team to meet and exceed sales targets and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Market Expansion: Drive growth by identifying emerging trends and opportunities within the agency space, leveraging local knowledge of the Essex market.
  • Pricing & Negotiation: Develop competitive pricing models and lead contract negotiations to ensure profitability while delivering value to clients.
  • Sales Process Optimisation: Streamline and enhance the sales process to improve conversion rates, reduce cycle times, and increase efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in agency sales or commercial roles, ideally in digital marketing, advertising, or media.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, with experience managing large agency accounts and driving revenue growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Essex market, including key trends and opportunities.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
