Are you a strong construction planner in the northwest who wants to work for a major developer of PBSA, BTR, and Co-Living?

We are mandated by one of the most well-known and successful players in the industry, who is looking to strengthen their construction team by hiring a planner to coordinate the ever-increasing projects around the country. The Construction Planner is tasked with creating, maintaining, and reviewing comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion of construction projects. This role demands close collaboration with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders, including site teams, surveyors, engineers, architects, and design managers.

In addition, the Construction Planner will generate progress reports, forecasts, and plans utilising advanced project management tools to facilitate all project phases and contingency measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and review detailed work programmes for client construction projects (PBSA, BTR, & Co-Living).
  • Break large projects into manageable phases and develop corresponding schedules.
  • Utilise project management software, specifically Asta Powerproject, to plan and monitor timeframes.
  • Ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion by planning and overseeing project timelines.
  • Liaise with internal teams, including costing, site teams, and project managers, to align on project needs and objectives.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders such as surveyors, engineers, and architects to meet project requirements.
  • Conduct regular meetings with site teams and subcontractors to discuss project timelines, deliverables, and resources.
  • Produce progress reports and forecasts for team members, clients, and stakeholders, detailing project status, timelines, and potential risks.
  • Develop contingency programmes to address any potential delays or changes in project scope.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal costing team to accurately calculate and allocate resources needed for each project phase.
  • Plan and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and usage.
  • Identify potential project risks and devise mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare for potential disruptions and develop contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity on project progress.
