Job Description: Head of Property Management

Location: The West End, London

Company: My client is a well-established, growing independent estate agency renowned for its personal approach and deep local knowledge. With decades of experience and a stellar reputation for delivering exceptional service, they are seeking an accomplished Head of Property Management to lead their Property Management Team.

About the Role:
As Head of Property Management, you will manage a small portfolio of corporate clients while leading a team of 7 responsible for over 1,000 properties across London. This role offers significant strategic input, helping to further develop team structure and processes. You'll mentor junior staff, guiding the team's growth, while benefiting from mentorship and career progression opportunities yourself.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the property management team of 7 handling 1,000 properties across London.
  • Personally manage a portfolio of approximately 50 corporate residential properties.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to enhance team structure and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee property maintenance, inspections, and contractor coordination.
  • Oversee tenancy renewals, compliance, deposits, and renewals.
  • Look for opportunities and support the team to offer refurbishment projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, landlords, and contractors, ensuring exceptional service and smooth property operations.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to the property management team.
  • Collaborate with leadership on long-term growth strategies.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in property management.
  • ARLA qualified.
  • Strong organisational skills with a focus on process and structure implementation.
  • Proficiency with property management systems (Reapit knowledge is a plus, but the company is open to exploring new systems).
  • Leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring and team development.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:50 pm
  • One day a week working from home.

Salary: £50k - £60k basic (depending on experience), plus commission and a discretionary bonus.
