Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead

up to £90,000 + package
Are you an accomplished Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to lead on your own scheme with a leading residential developer?
About the Role:
In this pivotal position, you will oversee a large, RC Frame development, ensuring that every detail is managed with precision from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and contractors to ensure cost-effective planning and execution of our developments.
- Procure packages from groundworks through to fit out.
- Utilise skills in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management to drive project success and profitability.
- Conduct thorough analyses of project specifications, materials, and labor costs to provide accurate forecasts and comprehensive reports.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while fostering strong, long-term relationships.
- Monitor project progress, proactively identifying potential cost overruns and implementing effective solutions.
- Manage junior members of the team
What you need:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a residential contractor/developer background.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools, including Excel, and project management systems.
- A results-driven mindset, paired with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
