Role: Compliance Manager

Location: Reading

Salary: Up to £42,500 plus bonus

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5:30pm

About the Role

They are seeking an ambitious and experienced professional to join our rapidly growing business as a Compliance Manager. The successful candidate will have a commitment, passion, and energy, take responsibility, and exhibit good judgement. you will work collaboratively with colleagues and be adaptable and flexible in approach. Key Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with shareholder requirements.
  • Monitor health and safety regulations and establish corresponding policies for the business.
  • Ensure compliance with gas safety regulations, maintain records, and conduct regular inspections of gas appliances and installations.
  • Oversee block management compliance, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations and best practice guidelines.
  • Manage and review Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), ensuring all fire safety standards are met and necessary improvements are promptly implemented.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance violations or issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Monitor changes in real estate laws and regulations, updating practices to maintain compliance.
  • Ensure that properties meet established quality and safety standards through regular audits.
  • Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
  • Provide proactive advice, challenge, and review to the business, ensuring robust conduct risk mitigation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry changes, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance compliance functions.
