Job description

If you are experienced in Faciltities Management within real-estate, have experience dealing with clients and are looking for a consultative role that offers hybrid working - this could be one for you!

As a Consultant, you will be tasked with furthering the business needs of both the Consultancy and Clients to deliver an exceptional level of service and performance. You will be required to use your own skills and initiative to solve problems, increase client revenues, deliver against project objectives and support the wider consulting team. Reporting directly to the Head of Consulting Services you will be fully supported in your role to develop new skills and experiences as you become a client focussed Consultant. You will have opportunities to work directly with a range of stakeholders across the business including clients, suppliers and internal teams.

Duties will include taking an active role in client projects, engagement in procurement activities, reporting on progress, supporting the wider consulting team and seeking out new opportunities to develop the business for the benefit of new and existing clients. This particular role is will also offer the opportunity to become the internal Facilities Management specialist within the team bringing expertise to support the Consultancy team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Follow set processes to deliver procurement services in order to deliver agreed outcomes for clients with the support of the wider consulting team
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure reporting is of a high standard and that clients are continually getting excellent service and value
  • Take a primary role within the project team to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard and to time
  • Identify trends and recommend solutions to improve processes
  • Ensure all contracts are executed accurately and timely and published to appropriate parties
  • Additional duties or functions consistent with the overall position responsibilities as may be required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: You will be educated to degree level or equivalent with experience of communicating with a range of stakeholders and confident in managing a varied workload using your own initiative. Strong background in FM and/or H&S within the built environment is desirable but not essential.

COMPUTER SKILLS/OFFICE EQUIPMENT: You will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Outlook with an ability to learn and adapt to new software applications quickly.

COMMUNICATION AND PRESENTATION SKILLS: You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of business and be confident in dealing with senior staff. An ability to read and comprehend contractual terms and conditions, instructions and correspondence is essential although support will be given. You will be confident in preparing reports, business correspondence, contracts, and contract notices within existing frameworks.

ANALYTICAL AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: You will have the ability to confidently analyse, interpret and understand mathematical problems which in turn should be supported by strong Excel skills to ensure data is accurate and well presented. You will be inquisitive about finding new and innovative ways of completing tasks and seeking out opportunities.

PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS: Ability to effectively and efficiently analyse information and correspondence and confidently report findings to the consulting team and clients. Ability to make and implement decisions under conditions of risk and or uncertainty, acting with integrity and sound judgment.
