deverellsmith are working with an ambitious and rapidly expanding SME house-building firm, specialising in building eco-friendly, and modern homes throughout Hertfordshire and North London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversea daily on-site activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Implement and enforce health and safety standards, promoting a safety-first culture on-site.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and proactively address any potential delays or issues.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project requirements.
- Communicate effectively with the project management team, providing regular updates and addressing any challenges.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure they align with budgetary constraints.
- Build strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities to ensure smooth project progression.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as Site Manager for a housebuilder
- Strong knowledge of residential construction processes and building regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on-site.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management
