Job description

deverellsmith are recruiting on behalf of a market leading residential developer, who need an experienced M&E Package Manager, starting ASAP for a 6 month contract in North London.

Paying £350-£400 per day until December; could go permanent for the right person.

Responsible for overseeing the design, planning, coordination and delivery of all MEPH systems within the development. Working closely with project teams and subcontractors you will ensure the successful delivery of MEP components, on time and in budget.

You will be responsible for the Build Management - Infrastructure distribution and laterals including plant rooms, energy centre expansion and basement, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of MEPH systems into overall project plan
  • Consultant design/drawings commenting and approval
  • Interdisciplinary MEPH coordination
  • Coordination of the resi facility service/BMS integration
  • Co-ordinating incoming services, 3rd party's (Thames Water, Hyperoptic, HVSS, Eon)
  • Review and approve MEP design drawings, specifications, and drawings for accuracy and compliance with local codes and regulations
  • Manage the procurement of MEP materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to project budgets
  • Oversee the selection of MEP subcontractors, negotiate contracts, and monitor their performance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Inspect MEPH installations, commissioning, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Implement sustainable and energy-efficient MEPH solutions to align with our commitment to environmental responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a MEP Package manager in residential construction.
  • Strong knowledge of MEPH systems, codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • HNC/Level 6 NVQ or strong trade background
  • Management or PQP CSCS/JIB/ECS card, SMSTS, First Aid
  • Relevant Industry recognised training
