Role Overview
The Property Manager will oversee a portfolio of 100 residential properties, ensuring they are maintained to high standards and compliant with regulations. This role requires hands-on management, regular communication with landlords and tenants, and proactive attention to property issues. You'll need a strong understanding of eviction processes, property safety, and regulatory standards to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a thorough understanding of eviction legislation and lease termination procedures, ensuring compliance with all legal standards.
- Organize regular and ad-hoc maintenance and repairs, overseeing service providers.
- Conduct biannual property visits, generating detailed reports on property conditions and any required actions.
- Address tenant complaints in a timely and effective manner, fostering positive tenant experiences.
- Maintain strong, communicative relationships with landlords, providing consistent updates on property conditions and tenant-related matters.
- Supervise onsite staff, ensuring adherence to property standards and legislation.
- Enforce property regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee deposit releases, manage disputes, and submit cases for arbitration through TDS as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in residential property management.
- Knowledge of property legislation, safety standards, and the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS).
- Excellent communication skills, capable of maintaining positive relationships with clients and tenants.
