Our client are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their small and growing team to take ownership of the commercial function and drive their cutting-edge developments from procurement through to completion.
Working developer side you will manage external consultants to ensure that projects stage within budget.
As Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for;
- Collaborate closely with the contractors, the technical team, and external consultants to ensure cost-effective planning and execution of residential developments.
- Utilise your expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management to drive project success.
- Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, materials, and labour costs to provide accurate forecasts and reports.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and maintain strong relationships.
- Monitor project progress, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing proactive solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in the development of airspace or high-rise projects.
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying practices, cost estimating, and tendering processes.
