Experienced Defect Manager? Looking for a new challenge? North London based? Then this could be the perfect role for you!

My client is looking for a Senior Defects Manager to support them during this busy period. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered with the utmost quality and precision. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing customer executives ensuring that all defects are identified, tracked, and resolved efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a small team of defect executives, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Develop and implement effective defect management processes and procedures.
  • Oversee the identification, tracking, and resolution of defects across multiple projects.
  • Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure timely and effective resolution of defects.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Prepare and present defect reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to address and resolve customer complaints related to defects.
  • Continuously improve defect management practices to enhance overall project quality and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Defects Manager or similar role within the construction or property development industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, quality standards, and defect management best practices.
  • Proficient in using defect management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
