Job description

Our client is a niche, bespoke residential developer who are renowned for building high-quality, unique projects in Surrey.

They are looking for an experienced, diligent Site Manager to join them on an ongoing freelance basis - paid CIS (£260-£300 a day depending on experience). This role requires a proactive approach, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. It could last up to 12 months, and could extend due to growth of the company.

The Site Manager will be based on a site in Surrey, a Grade II listed conversion of an exsisting property into 7 high end flats.

As the Site Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Directors, to ensure sites are delivered to the highest standards. You will lead the day to day operational management of the key residential construction project.

Roles Responsibilities include;

  • Daily opening and locking up the sites responsible for site security and general site safety
  • Coordinate all aspects of the projects between the design team, and on-site subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Anticipate potential risks and issues related to budgets and costs.
  • Plan and sequence work weeks in advance to mitigate risks concerning labor, equipment, materials, and resources.
  • Proactively schedule and conduct meetings with Directors and relevant team members weekly, documenting and distributing meeting minutes.
  • Prepare and produce regular reports and updates, including work schedules/programs, implementations, deviations, and other risk-related items.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements and enhancements for internal systems and workflows.
  • Possess broad knowledge and understanding of project information and drawings, and liaise effectively with all professionals and consultants involved in the projects, including Architects, Structural Engineers, Planning Consultants, and specialist consultants such as Ecologists and Arboriculturalists.
